Better known for his acting days and career in politics, Arnold has always had a winning mentality in whatever he’s done – and that all started in his bodybuilding days.

Arnold trained intensively. Sometimes twice a day to trick his muscles into growing when he’d hit a plateau. These days, however, bodybuilding know-how has come along a fair bit and there are now very simple yet effective ways of building muscle.

There are many gain muscle work outs that you can from the internet, but for now, let’s just look at the basics, and the things Arnold Schwarzenegger himself was doing to prepare for his first Mr. Universe title at the tender age of 22.

First, I must tell you, that to gain muscle there are three key rules you must abide by -

* Training – You must exercise each muscle group in your body with free weights.

* Eating – You must have a healthy, high calorie diet

* Rest – You need plenty of rest as your muscles don’t grow in the gym, they grow when you sleep.

Let’s get into work outs. The first thing you need to know is that you should be training three times per week for an hour each time. Always have at least a day’s rest in between workouts and do as little or no cardio exercise whenever possible.

The Martial Arts Take To Darned Long to Learn!

The mugger charges out of the alley and throws a whole, darned garbage can at you! Do you ask him to wait because you’re only on your tenth Karate lesson and haven’t reached the beating up the mugger section? Or do you ask him to hold off because, here it comes, you forgot to renew your contract after the fourth year at the local dojo?

There is a point to all this silliness, why do the martial arts take so long to learn? You can teach a guy to fly a jet, get in a dogfight and get shot down, spend time in a concentration camp, get released and run for political office, and become a senator, and retire, in the time it takes to learn some systems of the martial arts. I heard of one system that it takes seventeen years to get to Black Belt in!

Of course, there is the answer that you’re learning more than just self defense. You’re learning a life style, you’re investing in your old age, you’re solving the martial mysteries of the ages. But that garbage can is still flying at your head and you’ve already taken ten whole lessons so what are you gonna do?

There is a saying, garbage in, garbage out. And, to draw a parallel, if something is hard to put into your head, then it is going to be hard to get out. So maybe it’s time to look for an art that is as fast to learn as boxing, or running, or some other easily understood sport.

INTRODUCTION: Head lice (Pediculus capitis) are tiny parasitic insects well adapted to living mostly on the scalp and neck hairs of human host. These are mainly gotten by direct head-to-head contact with an infested person’s hair, but may on rare occasions be transferred with shared combs, hats and other hair accessories.

They get their nutrients by blood-feeding once or twice a day, and cannot live for more than a day or so at room temperature without free access to human blood. These parasites can survive up to thirty days on a human holding on to hair with hook-like claws found at the end of each of their six legs. They are rarely found on the body, eyelashes, or eyebrows and rarely (if ever) create direct harm, or transmit infectious agents from person-to-person. Head lice are equal opportunity parasites that do not respect socio-economic class distinctions and can infest people at any age, but children are more apt to infestations because of their habit of playing in near contact, sharing hats, headphones, combs and brushes, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, and clothing.

NITS: Head lice eggs are called nits and are laid by the adult female at the base of the hair shaft nearest the scalp and look sort of like dandruff, only they can’t be removed by brushing or shaking them off. The eggs hatch about 7 to 11 days after being laid. Those further than 1/4 inch away from the scalp have probably already hatched. Nits are most effectively removed by combing the hair with a specially designed nit comb. The eggs can be distinguished from dandruff flakes as they are extremely adherent to the hair shaft, whereas dandruff can be easily moved along the hair shaft.
